Evidence-based notes on DEI, woke localisation, and censorship in games, anime, film, TV, and manga.
We track agenda pushing, intentional sexual or feminine censorship in remakes, intentional mistranslation or localisation changes, and regional censorship when a cleaner build exists elsewhere.
How we score: each title gets a Woke Score from 0–100.0 means little or no DEI / woke interference documented;100 means heavy, intentional woke or DEI packaging. Standing pages stay at a fixed URL and are updated in place as new evidence lands.

IO Interactive's 2026 young-Bond origin game, audited for DEI and censorship. The studio openly 'modernised' Bond's womanising and cast a younger woman as M, but the seduction, implied sex, swimsuit and martini all survived. Standing page, open to update until the Switch 2 version ships.
Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced
Ubisoft's 2026 ground-up remake of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag audited against the 2013 original. The story is intact and still M-rated, but Anne Bonny's neckline and a bare-breasted ship figurehead were covered up without explanation. Standing page, updated as new evidence comes in.
Crimson Desert
Pearl Abyss's 2026 open-world action game audited for DEI and censorship. Male lead, no representation packaging, no regional cuts, and the one 'censorship' scare (Damiane's outfit) was a bug that was reverted within days. Standing page, updated as new evidence comes in.

Supergiant's 2020 Greek-myth roguelike audited for representation: a deliberately multi-ethnic pantheon, a bisexual lead with optional same-sex and polyamorous romances, Achilles and Patroclus, and a creator on record about 'different values'. Hades II
Supergiant's 2024–2025 sequel audited for representation: the same multi-ethnic pantheon (plus a Black, vitiligo-marked Hestia), a bisexual heroine with optional romances, broader body types, and the Aphrodite and Chaos redesign rows. Kingdom Come: Deliverance
Warhorse's 2018 medieval Bohemia RPG audited: the 'no people of colour' controversy, Daniel Vávra and the press, Theresa and the women of Rattay, the A Woman's Lot DLC, and the Japanese cuts. No agenda, no consultancy, no censorship in the original. Stable page — updated as new evidence drops.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II
Warhorse's 2025 sequel audited: Musa of Mali, the optional Hans Capon romance, who the credited history and culture consultants are and what they actually advised, the Saudi and China ban rumours, and the Japanese console cuts. Stable page — updated as new evidence drops.
Marvel's Wolverine
Insomniac's 2026 PS5 Wolverine game, audited for DEI and censorship. Sweet Baby Inc. is credited (ten people, CEO as Story Consultant), Mystique gets an invented wife, and the women were given plainer designs. The gore is uncut worldwide, Japan included. Standing page, open to update.
Persona 5 Royal
Atlus's 2019/2020 expanded Persona 5 audited against the original Persona 5 and the Japanese script. One confirmed English-only rewrite of two scenes with gay men, a small global icon edit in the 2022 ports, and fanservice intact. Stable page — updated as new evidence drops.
Resident Evil Requiem
Capcom's 2026 Resident Evil 9, audited for DEI and censorship. Grace Ashcroft's design fits the character, there's no DEI packaging, and the only censorship is Japan's CERO Z gore trim. The Western builds are uncut. Standing page, updated as new evidence comes in.
Persona 3 Reload
Atlus's 2024 remake of Persona 3 (plus Episode Aigis: The Answer) audited against P3 / FES / Portable. One confirmed universal rewrite of a dated joke plus softened Episode Aigis lines, fanservice mostly intact. Stable page — updated as new evidence drops.
Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter
Nihon Falcom's 2025 full 3D remake of Trails in the Sky FC, audited against the 2004 original and XSEED's English release. A handful of gendered lines were scrubbed from the Japanese master script, but the fanservice survives and the new English script is flat rather than woke. Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter
Nihon Falcom's 2026 full 3D remake of Trails in the Sky SC, released worldwide on 17 September 2026. A provisional audit a week after launch: fanservice and adult themes are intact, the localisation is improved, and the only scored red flag so far is Falcom's own record from 1st Chapter (a fan-reported costume change is unverified). Censorship watch on Atlus's remake vs Persona 4 Golden (out 18 February 2027). Producer-confirmed 'world we live in now' edits, a Shadow Kanji imagery scrub and a renamed beauty contest; Kanji and Naoto's arcs are promised intact, and Kotaku attacked Atlus for it (a rule D green flag). Christopher Nolan’s Universal Homer adaptation — Matt Damon Odysseus; Zendaya Athena, Lupita Nyong’o Helen, Elliot Page Sinon drove a casting culture war. Myth epic first; score the casting/press, not a DEI sermon plot. Stable page.

Pixar/Disney — Jessie leads; toys vs Lilypad tablet (Greta Lee); Blaze (Mykal-Michelle Harris) celebrated in progressive press. Plot is play vs screens, not a DEI lecture. Pixar's internal culture-trust review of Blaze counts as consultancy; Disney inclusion-mandate track record. Stable page.
